Work in Progress
Your true work
is never finished.
You are an ever-evolving,
perfectly imperfect,
work in progress.
3 ideas + 3 questions on progress, from me.
Embrace progress as a natural expression of living a full and intentionally well-imagined life. Here are few things I am pondering this week on the nature of progress:
The Upward Spiral. Imagine progress as a continuously evolving spiral. Each new cycle of the spiral brings you to new destinations: familiar destinations bring higher levels of understanding, and unfamiliar destinations bring new explorations and perspectives.
Collective Contribution. When your individual growth and development is centered in service of improving collective well-being, your contribution uplifts and enriches the whole.
Celebrate Momentum. Make a habit of celebrating daily wins, large and small, every single day. In so doing, you experience the joy of compounding progress as its effects infuse your life with excitement and inspiration.
All Progress Depends on Change.
Reframe Your Setbacks. Are setbacks necessary steps to effectively fueling your commitment to progress?
Practice makes Progress. Do you practice embracing progress as an imperfect process?
Change In Progress. Do you welcome change as the facilitator of all meaningful progress in your life?
3 insights on progress, from others.
Progress is not achieved by luck or accident, but by working on yourself daily.
Epictetus
Progress is not in enhancing what is, but in advancing toward what will be.
Khalil Gibran
It always seems impossible until it's done.
Nelson Mandela
